Both Parents and Kids participating, please wear snow pants, winter shoes, hats, gloves, and scarfs, along with a warm coat
An absolute "MUST" for kids 8 y.o. and older (max - 18 y.o.) This is an exclusive Jookender event, geared and run especially for us. 6 hours Dog Camp, where a dog get assigned to each kid, and during this time, your child learns how to care for it, pet it, train it, and sled on it. We've done it twice already, and this is our Third Year. One day, during the February School break, we go to this camp with a bunch of brave, curious, gentle - practically, any kids age 8 and above. This is a drop off program, and please bring lunch with you. While parents aren't occupied with camp during these 6 hours they usually either go skiing to the one of the closest mountains, or hang around in small winter villages, full of boutiques, coffee places, etc. We often go to lunch together, while waiting for kids.
Aside of this program, for your little ones, 4-8 y.o. there is a small version of the camp - introduction to sled dogs, where kids learn to care for the little puppies and grown up dogs, as well. This is a 1.5 hour program and each child must be accompanied by an adult. It also starts at 10, but runs only 1.5 hours. min. applies, so if we won't have at least 5 kids by February 19, we might cancel that little version of the camp.
We keep last year discounted pricing: $90/full day, $25/one fourth of the day - save up to $30 per kids. This pricing is made available because of the collaboration between Jookender and PJ library.
