Dear Families with Teenagers!
Welcome to Jookender! We’re renewing our famous “independent w/Jookender” travel series, where our families first get to know each other (via zoom or in-person) and then, travel various places and interacting with similar secular Russian-Speaking Jewish Communities/Teens at our destination areas, in addition to learning everything about the region, celebrating Shabbat together, and explore various ways of staying secular, yet proud of being Jewish.
This time, we’re going to California! We will be visiting 3 major California Cities – San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, as well, as some natural wonders, such as sea shore and national parks.
Jookender Program includes all tours and admissions, 3 dinners on the main tour, one dinner during the additional part of the trip, all tastings, etc. Tickets, car, hotel and car admissions to the National Parks are on your own (so, you may use your points, or join Jookender’s group rate for all your hotels/flights).
Jookender will provide you with Educational Tour Letter required by many public schools to let their students to finish the year earlier, and there is an opportunity for the High School Teens to earn up to 10 community hours on this trip. We accept maximum 10 families.
The main program is from June 18 to June 25th. The early bird special is until April 3, 2022. Adult - $350, Teen/Child - $250. The price increases $100 after that – Adult $450, Child $350. During this program, we tour between San Diego and San Francisco.
The additional program is from June 25th to June 29th. During this part, we will be touring Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, and the Yosemite National Park. The additional program cost before April 3 is $190 Adult, $150 Child. After April 3 - $250 Adult, $180 teen/child.
While we’re focusing on families with Teenagers 13+ y.o., their younger siblings of 8+ are welcome, as well.
The program is heavenly discounted, thanks to our grants and sponsors. Full itinerary will be send to those who sign up for the program. Please, note: in the unprecedented COVID times, your payment to our organization is fully refundable until the very first day of the trip – June 17th. The trip is not refundable after this date.
You must book your car on your own. You will need to pick up your car at the airport of:
- San Diego
and Return at the Airport where you leave from:
- San Francisco,
- San Jose,
- or Oakland.
You must book your hotel room(s) on your own:
- 2 nights in San Diego (Check in June 18, Check out June 20),
- 2 Nights in Los Angeles (Check in June 20, Check out June 22),
- 2 nights in San Jose/Los Gatos (Silicon Valley area) (Check in June 22, Check out June 24),
- 1 night San Francisco (Check in June 24, check out June 25).
If you're staying for the extended program, you will also need to add:
- 2 nights at South Lake Tahoe (Check in June 25, Check out June 27),
- 2 Nights at Yosemite National Park area (Check in June 27, Check out June 29).
Your coordinator has booked the following hotels - you might want to book in the same area, in order to be close to each other:
