Sewing Toys with Jookender
Welcome to Jookender's Sewing Toys Course!
We’re excited to introduce the first in our series of sewing courses at Jookender! This beginner-friendly class is designed to help young students overcome any fear of needles and threads while having fun. In this course, students will learn the basics of sewing by working with plastic needles and creating pre-fabricated toys.
Projects are perfect for children aged 6-12. If your child has participated in Jookender's arts & crafts programs before, they can join even if they are under 6! This course also serves as a pre-requisite for more advanced sewing classes, where children will learn to handle regular needles and stitch everything from buttons and patches to beautiful, intricate designs.
Classes will be held on particular Wednesdays (please, refer to the flyer) at 6 PM over a 5-6 week session. Sign up today and spark your child’s creativity! Registration deadline is October 6, 2024
Our Classes at a Glance:
- October 9 - Learning to insert a thread to a needle, and make knots. Also, creating a small, face-only animal toys. Everyone will have time to create at least one such toy.
- October 30 - Halloween in around the corner! Children will make various friendly monster toys
- November 6 - Today, children will be sewing wallets and bags
- November 13 - They will be sewing adorable dogs
- November 20 - Children will be sewing yet most complicated project - wild animals.
Each class is approximately 50 minutes long, offering plenty of time for hands-on learning.
