High School Seniors, are you ready to complete your 3–4 week senior project while gaining invaluable skills and experience? Jookender Community Initiatives, a local Jewish nonprofit, is
offering a unique internship/study program designed to empower students like you to build resilience, develop leadership skills, and explore meaningful topics that can positively impact your
future.
Choose Your Path
We offer three exciting internship categories tailored to your interests and passions:
- History/Social Justice
Explore the fight against antisemitism and research ways to address modern-day challenges with confidence and knowledge.
- Journalism/Grant Writing
Develop your writing skills by working on real-world projects, including crafting impactful grant proposals and articles.
- Finance/Fundraising
Gain hands-on experience in nonprofit financial operations, budgeting, and fundraising strategies.

What to Expect
- Hybrid Format: Work primarily online, with optional on-site days (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) if required by your school.
- Tailored Dates: We’ll work with you and your school to finalize the best schedule.
- Collaborative Environment: If multiple participants start on the same day, you’ll join a small group, working individually on your projects while learning teamwork and
leadership skills.
- Focus on Antisemitism: Deepen your understanding of antisemitism and strategies to stand against it through research and guided mentorship.
Important Details
- Fee and Eligibility: A registration fee is required upfront. We reserve the right to conduct background checks and may reject an application, with the registration fee
fully refunded if this occurs.
- Unpaid Internship: While this spring internship is unpaid, top-performing students will be invited to a paid summer internship with Jookender.
- Flexible and Supportive: We work with each participant and their school to ensure a meaningful and compliant experience.
