Arts, Crafts, Russian!

Dear Parents!

• If you’re looking for activities where your children will be using more of their inactive Russian language, without traditional learning of letters, grammar, reading and writing, you came to the right place
• If your child loves to learn various arts and crafts styles and bring every time a finished art project from the class – this class is something you should consider
• If your child have general understanding of simple daily spoken Russian, but avoid using it as much as possible, and you want this to be opposite – this class is for you!

In the informal, friendly environment, your child will receive a constant support and encouragement to use Russian on a weekly basis, improve their spoken skills, vocabulary, accent, and understanding of this language. If you’re a parent who generally wants your child to keep up a conversation in Russian with you or with grandparents, then this class is for you.

During the class, we will be speaking about everything – day-to-day routine, what happened at school, what they like and hate, what they want to do on vacation or what gift they are hoping to receive on their birthday. Something really what they would want to talk about. It may seem that the child doesn’t speak Russian at all, but understands it and answer you in English. We know from experience that this is not true, and that if your child has some understanding of the language, it’s only a matter of circumstances that will make a child to actually start using that language on their own.

In addition to language practice, we will be creating some fun projects in needle felting, clay, Laser Printing, 3D Art, Origami, fine arts, woodburning, Jewelry making, and many other things that they all love to do.

We intend to continue this class after the Fall, during the Winter and Spring Terms, as well.

Limited to 12 Children per class. 7-12 y.o.
